At HostCincinnati, we pride ourselves on having redundant networks and redundant services. We co-locate with TimeWarner Telecom to provide our clients with the utmost in security and reliability.
Facility Features
Power:
The facility provides two means of power redundancy on top of our own ups. The first is a battery backup system that will provide power for the whole facility for at least 8 hours. After 8 hours a backup diesel generator takes over until power is restored.
Network:
Their tier 1 facility has multiple OC-3's with connections going out separate lines on opposite sides of the facility.
Structural:
Expandable HVAC controls keep the facility at a constant 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Fire protection is handled by a halon gas system. Security is maintained through 24/7 limited card access and video surveillance.
HostCincinnati Web Servers:
We are currently using two load balanced PIII 800 Servers with 500Megs RAM running RedHat Linux 7.2 with apache.
Mail Servers:
We are currently using two load balanced PIII 800 Servers with 500Megs RAM running RedHat Linux 7.2 with qmail.
DNS Servers:
Both our primary and secondary DNS servers are PIII 800 Servers with 500Megs RAM running RedHat Linux 7.2 with bind.
